Positive Concepts OU in Estonia and Positive Concepts Ltd in the UK are assisting the Eco-city founders to introduce their unique software planning solution into new markets outside Finland.

 

The planning is based on the principles of sustainable development. We carry out ecological planning both in greenfield areas and in existing urban structure. Our ecocity planning aims at minimizing the energy consumption and emissions generated by dwelling, transport and services. At the same time, an ecocity emphasizes local production and self-sufficiency. Our planning process takes into account the space and technologies needed for local food and energy production. We aim at robust planning, which helps communities to better accommodate new ecological solutions in the future. We have put these principles into operation for instance in Nurmi-Sorila, Tampere and Mentougou, Beijing.
